RECOLLECT is the working title for the new dance piece the Troupe and company are collaborating on. Come join us and check out some of the exciting new stuff! Everyone is welcome.

We welcome Mirae Rosner in her new position as Leader of the Carnegie Dance Troupe. After many years working with Karen and the Troupe, Karen has passed her role to Mirae but will remain as mentor to the group...and sometimes a participant too!

We are heartbroken to tell you that Sarah Ann Good passed away this summer. Sarah has been with us for many years sharing her gifts of drum and song. Her spirit and contributions to the group have enriched us and we hold her in high esteem.

Sarah Ann Good 1948–2018

Sarah Ann Good “Salautia” (Snuneymuxw) was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in law, auntie, cousin, singer, dancer and drummer, Siowen dancer, community member, and friend to many.

If there was a definition of a Warrior Woman, it would be Sarah Ann Good. Her strong moral compass pointed her in the direction to stand up for what was “right” in this world. A soft spoken activist with a strong and powerful presence who fought for human rights, woman’s rights, political rights, environmental rights.

She was a highly respected singer, dancer and drummer. She was quiet, shy, and fierce all at the same time. She was also a beautiful, creative, giving, loving, and powerful woman. Her work spans decades and will affect change for generations.

Sarah is loved and missed.
