Special Thanks

Karen Jamieson Dance would like to extend a special thank you to our very generous donors, friends, and family that have continually supported not only us here at KJD, but the Vancouver arts in particular. We are grateful. Thank you.

A very special thank you goes to the Chapple family in Seattle for their substantial donation that made this entire website possible. Thank you James, Erin and Roland!

A further thank you goes to Ion Design for their gracious assistance in helping a non-profit arts organization get a beautiful new website, one that would have normally been beyond their resources to attain.

The New Website

In 2019, we realized we could not put off the inevitable any longer…we knew we needed a new website but you know how these things go, there is always something else to attend to and it has a hard deadline.
So you delay a bit more.

These tactics worked until little pieces of our site stopped working and we could see the crumbling effect quicken. Where do we get the funding for a new site, who is going to help us, where do we find the time?

Enter Ion Design and the Chapple family…between the two of them we got this beautiful new site, pre-populated (what a treat!), detailed tutorials, and someone else paid for it all!

In all seriousness, we are eternally grateful for the support we have received. Ion Design took time out to help a small non-profit arts organization realize their new website while providing the quality, functionality, and beauty of a site we could never afford. The Chapple family are long-time supporters of and donors to Karen Jamieson Dance and when they heard we were in a tough spot (unplanned budget item!) they offered to cover the entire cost of the new site.

Please peruse the site - it will always be a work-in-progress due the the massive content needed in our WORKS section - but we think we have a good start…thanks to our good friends!

The Chapple Family

The Chapple family has always been a big supporter of the arts, and they’re proud to be involved with Karen Jamieson Dance. Erin, who is an executive in the technology industry, and James, who is a Canadian Screen award-winning composer, are big admirers of Karen and her artistic endeavours. It is also worth mentioning that their son is an avid dancer, and loves to bust a move whenever he can, so dance is a big deal in the Chapple household. The Chapple’s are thrilled to be sponsors of the new website and look forward to continuing their support of Karen Jamieson Dance in the future.
